Our journey into health and nutrition didn’t begin in a classroom — it began in our own bodies.

After facing our own health struggles, we experienced firsthand how frustrating it can be to search for answers and come up empty. We tried countless approaches, protocols, and quick fixes that promised results but failed to address the root cause. What we discovered is that true healing requires more than symptom management — it requires a whole-body approach.

Through that journey, we developed a deep passion for nutrition, gut health, detox support, and limbic brain retraining. We learned how profoundly the nervous system impacts digestion, inflammation, immunity, and overall resilience. When we began supporting the body and the brain together, everything changed.

HANNAH

For years I thought I was eating the “right” foods. Super foods like spinach, quinoa, apples, and all the rest. Eating and following the food pyramid. Following all the diet trends. I swore by my green smoothy every morning… And yet my body was quietly rebelling. Bloating, fatigue, constipation, and just weird symptoms I couldn’t explain. The healthier I ate, the worse I felt. It was shocking to realize that what’s “healthy” may not always be healthy for you.    

I spent years chasing answers. Doctors shrugged, tests came back “normal,” and yet my body told a very different story. Eventually the labels started to stack up — lupus, SIBO, Hashimoto’s — each one explaining a piece of the puzzle but never the whole picture. I felt like I was living in a body I couldn’t trust, constantly managing symptoms that made everyday life feel heavier than it should. 

My turning point wasn’t a miracle pill or a trendy diet. It was the moment I realized I had to step outside the noise and start listening to my own body. That’s when I found two things that changed everything: a simple 30‑day soup protocol and dedicated limbic system retraining. 

The soup protocol gave my digestion a break and offered nourishment my body could actually use. The limbic work helped me calm the chronic stress patterns that had been running the show for years. Together, they created space for my system to reset in a way I hadn’t experienced before. 

Slowly, the fog lifted. My energy returned. My gut calmed. The symptoms that once dictated my life began to soften. For the first time in years, I felt like I was coming home to myself. 

I’m not sharing this because it was easy — it wasn’t. I’m sharing it because healing is possible, even when it feels out of reach. My journey taught me that “healthy” isn’t a universal formula. It’s personal, intuitive, and often beautifully simple once you learn how to listen. 


Angela

I’m a wife, a mom of three, and a lifelong believer in the body’s ability to heal—when given the right environment. At home, life is full and active, shared with my wonderful husband, our kids, and our oversized shepherd who keeps things interesting.

My path into this work wasn’t linear—it was born out of years of frustration and searching. I struggled with persistent health issues including SIBO, chronic itchiness, and eczema. Like many, I did everything I was “supposed” to do. I worked with doctors, acupuncturists, and nutritionists. I invested in supplements, testing, trackers, therapies, and strict diets. I followed protocols carefully and consistently.

And still, nothing truly resolved the root of what I was experiencing.

It wasn’t until I discovered the role of the limbic system that things began to make sense. I realized I had been trying to force physical healing while my nervous system was still stuck in a chronic fight-or-flight state. No matter how “perfect” the protocol, my body wasn’t in a place where it could receive or respond to it.

That shift in understanding changed everything.

When I began focusing on calming and retraining my limbic system—moving my body out of survival mode and into a state of safety and repair—my healing finally began to unfold in a meaningful, sustainable way.

This work is now the foundation of how I approach health. It’s not about chasing the next supplement or the next restrictive plan. It’s about creating the internal conditions where true healing can happen.

Through WholeSelf Healing, my goal is to help others step out of the same exhausting cycle I lived in for years—and into a more grounded, effective path that supports both the mind and the body.
